Live painting is one of the special highlights of modern weddings. Instead of a traditional wedding favor, a personal memento is created on-site that your guests can take home with them.

But how much does live painting at a wedding actually cost?

The short answer: It depends primarily on how many guests are to be illustrated.

Why do prices for live painting vary so much?

Anyone looking for live painting for weddings,

You will quickly discover that prices can vary greatly.

This is mainly because every artist works differently.

Differences exist, for example, in:

  • the number of guests who will be painted during the celebration

  • the size of the illustrations

  • the material used

  • the artist's experience

  • Travel expenses

  • additional services such as shipping or post-processing

Therefore, it is often difficult to directly compare offers.

The number of guests is the most important price factor.

For most live painting services, the price depends on the number of people to be painted.

The reason is simple:

Each illustration is created by hand and takes time.

In my case, approximately 10 people are drawn per hour during the wedding. Therefore, the more guests you want to have illustrated, the more time needs to be allocated for the live painting.

What you should pay attention to when comparing offers

When comparing different providers, it's worth looking at more than just the total price.

Ask yourselves:

  • How many guests will actually be painted?

  • What paper size will you receive?

  • Are the images included in the price or are there additional costs?

  • Will unfinished illustrations be sent later?

  • What experience does the artist bring to the table?

However, personal style is at least as important. Every artist has their own signature style – from minimalist sketches to detailed watercolors.

Choosing the right live painting is therefore not just a matter of price, but also a matter of taste. Look at different examples of their work and consider which style best suits you and your wedding.

Sample prices for live painting at weddings

To give you a better idea, here are some price examples from my work.

My prices are based on the number of guests to be illustrated:

  • €990 for 30 guests

  • €1,650 for 50 guests

  • €2,400 for 80 guests

Larger groups are also possible in principle and will be individually priced.

The illustrations are created on high-quality DIN A5 paper. Should not all images be finished on the day of the event, they will of course be completed afterwards and sent by post.

Additional costs will include travel and, if applicable, accommodation.

I will accompany weddings with fewer than 25 guests by individual arrangement.

Whether live painting is worthwhile depends, of course, on your ideas for the wedding day.

Many couples choose this option because their guests not only have a special experience during the celebration, but also take home a personal memento.

Live painting thus combines entertainment and wedding favors in a way that remains visible long after the wedding.

Are you currently planning your wedding and would like to find out which live painting package suits your number of guests? Then I look forward to your inquiry and will gladly create a customized offer for you.
